Petoskey Stone Toggle Necklace
Description
Hand-cut Petoskey stone set in a layered, sterling silver pendant, strung on a smooth silver snake chain with a toggle clasp. The concentric silver rings frame the ancient coral fossil, drawing the eye to its natural geometry and fossilized radiance.
Meaning
Collected from the beaches of Leland, Michigan, where I spent my childhood exploring Fishtown and searching for stones along the shore. The Petoskey stone, Michigan’s state stone, is a fossilized coral. It is a sentiment of time, growth, and history. Each piece holds a trace of the land and water that shaped it, echoing the connection between past and present.

Care
Your piece is handcrafted from sterling and/or fine silver, designed to be loved and worn often.
To keep it shining:
- Store in a dry place or an airtight pouch to slow natural tarnish.
- Avoid exposure to water, lotions, perfume, and harsh chemicals.
- Polish gently with a soft jewelry cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Wear it often! The natural oils from your skin help keep silver bright.
Each piece will develop its own soft patina over time — a mark of its journey with you.
Design
Each Slow Season piece is carefully handcrafted. Natural variations in gemstones ensures that no two stones are alike (if stone is applicable in product). Minor imperfections in design are a hallmark of the handmade process and do not affect the integrity or beauty in your piece.
